How to film (3-10 minutes of your time)
• Hold your phone upright (portrait) and walk slowly
• Point at every item you want moved, one room at a time -this helps out tools analyse the items and make sure nothing is missed
• Keep the camera steady — pause for 2 seconds on big items
• Open cupboards, wardrobes and the loft hatch if they’re coming too
• Film in daylight or turn the lights on — dark rooms hide items
What to include:
• Every room with things to move
• Large or heavy furniture (sofas, beds, wardrobes, appliances)
• Hallways, stairs and any tight doorways
• Garage, shed, garden and outdoor items
Talk while you film
• Say the room name as you enter (“this is the kitchen”)
• Call out anything staying behind (“the fridge stays”)
• Mention fragile or awkward items (piano, safe, artwork) and any items to dismantle/reassemble
Tips for the best quote
• Aim for 3–8 minutes total
• One continuous video is better than several short clips
• If your phone is an iPhone, use the standard Camera app
